N is for Not Your Average A-Z Post

Ha, see how I made "N" work for me? :p

Since the beginning of the A-Z challenge, I've been writing a mini story based on my Game On series, but today I'm taking one day off from the story because I have to explain my slight absence around the blogosphere this week.

On Saturday, I am doing a book signing (details here) and with getting ready for that, and finishing up some jobs for clients, I have been a little bit behind on commenting and replying to comments. My apologies - the book signing was sort of a last minute decision, so I'm frantically trying to get prepared and I can't keep up with everything! Rest assured, I will be continuing Leah and Radleigh's story tomorrow, and I'll be commenting any time I get a spare few minutes - but if I owe you a visit and haven't got there yet, please don't abandon me! I will get to you, I promise!

The giveaway for a chance to win one of ten ecopies of Game On is still running, so if you're leaving a comment, you may as well enter while you're here - who doesn't love a free ebook? :D

  3. Best of luck at your book signing!! Sounds like you have your hands full this week. I am behind on comments too. My computer has a mind of its own- it keeps eating up my comments. So frustrating!

  4. I am being driven insane right now by my internet. I have tried for the last 20 mins or so to leave even one comment on one blog (you're the lucky first :P ) and here I am. So I am not able to comment as much either. And now it's BED TIME!!! Stupid full time work.

It's here! WIP: The Movie!

I can't even tell you have excited I have been about this! It's early, so I have only got round to a few entries so far, but I am having a blast reading them all! Thanks to all who have participated, and of course, to my awesome co-host, Rachel ! It's time for me to introduce you to the characters from my - as yet untitled - WIP. When I first started this blog, my WIP was different, so this might confuse some of you (sorry about that!). This is Leah Walker, my MC. Technically, she is a little young, but she looks perfect! Leah is a physiotherapist for an American soccer team, but she is actually an English girl with a, let's say, colourful past. Radleigh McCoy is the ridiculously good-looking, not to mention exceptionally arrogant soccer player who challenges Leah in every way possible.  This is Freya Phillips. Freya is Leah's best friend and roommate. She works as a coach for the soccer team, and she is both very kind, and totally wild! Th...

Camp NaNo Update, and details

To begin with, I want to say thanks again to Emily for allowing me onto her blog as a blogging mentor! Being interviewed is always fun, and Emily is awesome! So, to Camp NaNo! Four days in and I'm still on track! Well, I will be when I finish today's writing. :D I mentioned a while ago that I was planning to battle boy POV, and I'm doing my best to get through it. However, it is hard, so I decided to turn my NaNo story into dual POV so it will be 50% less difficult! I'm not against cheating to get the work done. :p Just to give you a quick recap on what I'm doing for NaNo: In Game On, I have a young soccer player named Jesse Shaw, and he proved quite popular during the A-Z challenge. So, I decided he needed his own spin-off story! It's set at the end of the soccer season, when Jesse and his best friend go to London. I don't have a proper synopsis yet, but this is my guideline for now Soccer sensation Jesse Shaw literally has the world at his fee...

IWSG: Books Sales

IWSG time! I'd like to start by thanking Alex J. Cavanaugh for this fab bloghop, and today in particular, it is just the motivation I need to get me blogging again! Today, I'm talking book sales. Now, I don't really know if there is any kind of "average" amount of books sales when you're an indie author. I don't know what is considered a good amount of book sales per month, or whether I am doing better or worse than others. What I do know, is that I am happy with the amount of books I've sold. I self-published because I want people to read my work - and people are reading it - yay! My concern is - what if the sales stop? I know after a time, everyone's book sales will slow down, but I have this fear that I'll check my sales every couple of weeks to find that nobody cares about reading my books anymore. The dreaded 0 will show on my Kindle sales, and I will plummet into a pit of despair. It hasn't happened yet, but Game On has onl...
