K is for Kissing

My A-Z Theme is based on my books, the Game On series. You won’t need to have read them to follow this story, since it’s slightly removed from the full plot, like a side story. What it will do is give you a glimpse into my characters, and a chance to get to know them a little bit, PLUS, during the story, you will get a mini tour of parts of the UK! The posts will come from two of my main characters, Leah Walker and Radleigh McCoy. If this is your first time here, please start at the letter A. :D

 K - Kissing
(Leah)

The rain cut our day in St. Ives short. If I’m totally honest, I was cool with us getting the things we needed from the supermarket, then holing ourselves back up in our temporary home. We had plenty of time for looking around, and four hours with our clothes on seemed like too long.

We dumped our shopping bags in the kitchen, then flung ourselves on one of the sofas in the living room, joined at the lips.

I’d had some good kisses in my time, but Radleigh blew them all out of the water. His lips caught my attention around thirty seconds after I first met him. Hard to miss them when they curve into the perfect devilish grin. They’re full and soft, and boy, does he know how to use them. They had the power to turn me – a 26-year-old – into a fifteen-year-old who forgot everything the moment he kissed me. A herd of elephants could have stampeded through the room, and I wouldn’t have let go of Radleigh, not even to question where they came from.

Sorry again for the short post - I have a crazy day today, but I'll catch up on what I missed later!

As promised - one giveaway for you. I'm offering ten - yes ten - eCopies of Game On, and this giveaway will run until the end of the A-Z Challenge! There is only one mandatory entry, and that's to leave a blog comment. If you're here, I'm assuming you planned to do that anyway LOL! SO... get commenting! :D a Rafflecopter giveaway

    1. Just read your other posts and realize the MC is named Leah so what I meant to say is I like your description of how much Leah enjoys Radleigh's kiss. Guess that's what I get for blog hopping on K!

  9. This totally made me laugh: and four hours with our clothes on seemed like too long.

I like that last paragraph. So much in writing is showing and not telling. And basically I could sum that whole paragraph up into, "he's a good kisser."

But you did an awesome job of showing us that instead of the boring, he's a good kisser. This is a terrific example of what you should do.

  11. Kissing is a popular theme for K. ;)

I love reading kissing scenes where the characters push each other onto a couch, bed, or into a wall. Radleigh does sound like a great kisser, too.

  12. Great mix of humor and passion and even a bit of backstory is such a short scene.

Hope you’re having fun with the A to Z challenge,

It's here! WIP: The Movie!

I can't even tell you have excited I have been about this! It's early, so I have only got round to a few entries so far, but I am having a blast reading them all! Thanks to all who have participated, and of course, to my awesome co-host, Rachel ! It's time for me to introduce you to the characters from my - as yet untitled - WIP. When I first started this blog, my WIP was different, so this might confuse some of you (sorry about that!). This is Leah Walker, my MC. Technically, she is a little young, but she looks perfect! Leah is a physiotherapist for an American soccer team, but she is actually an English girl with a, let's say, colourful past. Radleigh McCoy is the ridiculously good-looking, not to mention exceptionally arrogant soccer player who challenges Leah in every way possible.  This is Freya Phillips. Freya is Leah's best friend and roommate. She works as a coach for the soccer team, and she is both very kind, and totally wild! Th...

Camp NaNo Update, and details

To begin with, I want to say thanks again to Emily for allowing me onto her blog as a blogging mentor! Being interviewed is always fun, and Emily is awesome! So, to Camp NaNo! Four days in and I'm still on track! Well, I will be when I finish today's writing. :D I mentioned a while ago that I was planning to battle boy POV, and I'm doing my best to get through it. However, it is hard, so I decided to turn my NaNo story into dual POV so it will be 50% less difficult! I'm not against cheating to get the work done. :p Just to give you a quick recap on what I'm doing for NaNo: In Game On, I have a young soccer player named Jesse Shaw, and he proved quite popular during the A-Z challenge. So, I decided he needed his own spin-off story! It's set at the end of the soccer season, when Jesse and his best friend go to London. I don't have a proper synopsis yet, but this is my guideline for now Soccer sensation Jesse Shaw literally has the world at his fee...

IWSG: Books Sales

IWSG time! I'd like to start by thanking Alex J. Cavanaugh for this fab bloghop, and today in particular, it is just the motivation I need to get me blogging again! Today, I'm talking book sales. Now, I don't really know if there is any kind of "average" amount of books sales when you're an indie author. I don't know what is considered a good amount of book sales per month, or whether I am doing better or worse than others. What I do know, is that I am happy with the amount of books I've sold. I self-published because I want people to read my work - and people are reading it - yay! My concern is - what if the sales stop? I know after a time, everyone's book sales will slow down, but I have this fear that I'll check my sales every couple of weeks to find that nobody cares about reading my books anymore. The dreaded 0 will show on my Kindle sales, and I will plummet into a pit of despair. It hasn't happened yet, but Game On has onl...
