TIme Out

It feels like a while since I posted, but that's not really true, it's just been a couple of days. But they've been a LONG couple of days.

It's seemed like everything I've been doing lately, working so hard on getting my book finished, edits, looking for a CP and trying to hold down a day job have been a struggle. My stress levels have been higher than I want them to be, which is why I've been slow at replying to comments, and commenting on all of your blogs.

Hopefully, having a couple more days off will get me motivated again, and I can give you some better updates on what I'm doing next! :D

Before I go, if you're seeking a CP, check out the CP mixer the girls at Falling For Fiction are having today! It's gonna be lots of fun!

  2. I'm not a very good editor, but I'd gladly do a read over for you and offer my humble opinion.
(perhaps spring is chaos for everyone...that way we enjoy the summer slow down?)

  3. Take a deep breath, have a cup of tea and relax. Maybe you need a few days off the computer all together, just to chill. Sorry you are feeling so stressed.

These past few days have been crazy for me too. (Had to take one child to the ER, work, a graduation, etc)

Sending calm, happy thoughts your way!

  20. I know how you feel about 'just a few days' feeling like a lot longer! I'm kind of wrung out at the moment, for no good reason probably, but I've had a few weekends of a lot of stuff going on, so haven't really had a heap of downtime. Hopefully this weekend will be different!

In other news, here's an award for ya:

  22. It seems like that is the theme for the month. Blog slacking and high stress. I know it is for me. Good luck on getting everything nailed down and getting rid of some of that stress!

  23. Thanks for the shout out.

Taking a few days off can be exactly what you need. All of this stuff can be super stressful and stepping away can really put things in perspective.

Hope you have a great weekend.

  24. Aww hope you're feeling less stressed *hug*

Maybe your stress levels are telling you to re-evaluate your blog frequency though? You blog more than anyone I know and I'm sure your loyal fans (including me) will stick by you if you decide to cut back. Especially when you're on the brink of author stardom (yes you are!)

    Have a lovely weekend :)

  30. I LOVE blogging. LOVE it. But when I take a week off once in a while - I really, really force myself to RELAX with that time. Hope you enjoy!

  31. Hope you're feeling a lot better now, and more relaxed! I think everyone goes through that phrase of thinking everything's coming at them from all angles, all at once - and it's nice to just stop and have some time to yourself :)!

I hope this makes you feel better - I've decided to award you with a 'Stylish Blogger's Award' - hooray! I absolutely LOVE the layout and design of your blog, and I think you really deserve it :)! I'm guessing that a blog as good as yours has probably been awarded one of these already lol, but just in case you haven't, the rules/explanation of the award are on my blog :).

Hope you're having a nice, relaxing day :)!

It's here! WIP: The Movie!

I can't even tell you have excited I have been about this! It's early, so I have only got round to a few entries so far, but I am having a blast reading them all! Thanks to all who have participated, and of course, to my awesome co-host, Rachel ! It's time for me to introduce you to the characters from my - as yet untitled - WIP. When I first started this blog, my WIP was different, so this might confuse some of you (sorry about that!). This is Leah Walker, my MC. Technically, she is a little young, but she looks perfect! Leah is a physiotherapist for an American soccer team, but she is actually an English girl with a, let's say, colourful past. Radleigh McCoy is the ridiculously good-looking, not to mention exceptionally arrogant soccer player who challenges Leah in every way possible.  This is Freya Phillips. Freya is Leah's best friend and roommate. She works as a coach for the soccer team, and she is both very kind, and totally wild! Th...

Camp NaNo Update, and details

To begin with, I want to say thanks again to Emily for allowing me onto her blog as a blogging mentor! Being interviewed is always fun, and Emily is awesome! So, to Camp NaNo! Four days in and I'm still on track! Well, I will be when I finish today's writing. :D I mentioned a while ago that I was planning to battle boy POV, and I'm doing my best to get through it. However, it is hard, so I decided to turn my NaNo story into dual POV so it will be 50% less difficult! I'm not against cheating to get the work done. :p Just to give you a quick recap on what I'm doing for NaNo: In Game On, I have a young soccer player named Jesse Shaw, and he proved quite popular during the A-Z challenge. So, I decided he needed his own spin-off story! It's set at the end of the soccer season, when Jesse and his best friend go to London. I don't have a proper synopsis yet, but this is my guideline for now Soccer sensation Jesse Shaw literally has the world at his fee...

IWSG: Books Sales

IWSG time! I'd like to start by thanking Alex J. Cavanaugh for this fab bloghop, and today in particular, it is just the motivation I need to get me blogging again! Today, I'm talking book sales. Now, I don't really know if there is any kind of "average" amount of books sales when you're an indie author. I don't know what is considered a good amount of book sales per month, or whether I am doing better or worse than others. What I do know, is that I am happy with the amount of books I've sold. I self-published because I want people to read my work - and people are reading it - yay! My concern is - what if the sales stop? I know after a time, everyone's book sales will slow down, but I have this fear that I'll check my sales every couple of weeks to find that nobody cares about reading my books anymore. The dreaded 0 will show on my Kindle sales, and I will plummet into a pit of despair. It hasn't happened yet, but Game On has onl...
