I often see people writing out their weekly or monthly goals on their blog, and it's a great idea. I've never done it before, but this week I REALLY need it. I've got a bunch of leftover stuff from last year I need to finish off, plus some new things to work on and if I don't write them down and make myself accountable - I might put it off forever! I doubt I'll make this a regular thing but when I really need to get my bum in gear, I will write out what needs to be done for everyone to see. Feel free to throw things at me next week if I haven't ticked most of it off!
Schedule all blog posts I have for other bloggers to promote/reveal covers so I don't have to do it at the last minute
Post prizes from Blindsided Blog Tour (Some have already gone out, but I still have more to do)
Write up guest post for Cassie Mae's blog and email it
Read a couple more chapters of The Fire In Fiction
Finish Rouge by Leigh Talbert Moore - I'm nearly done, but I keep getting distracted by all the other things I need to do
Quit daydreaming, I don't have time (LOL!)
Oh ... and write!
Argh, it looks scary when written down lbut I like that it isn't just spinning around in my brain anymore! Time to get moving!

I wish you luck with all your tasks... except one--don't ever stop daydreaming!
ReplyDeleteHee hee, I would normally say the same to anyone who wanted to give up daydreaming but, honestly, it's killing my productivity!
DeleteGood luck with you list! I find a list helps focus me though lol yes it's always scary when written down!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely! It's working, though yay!
DeleteGood luck with your goals! It's so important to write them down, something I've been avoiding but I need to buckle down and jot them on paper. (:
ReplyDeleteThanks, Elise!
DeleteWriting blog posts ahead of time really pays off.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to write down goals--keeps perspective.
Happy writing!
It sure does! Writing things down has really helped me this week!
DeleteI'll also try to write blog posts ahead of time. Good luck in achieving all your goals.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Al!
DeleteStop daydreaming! -Um- so guility over here! That's the worst for me. I am always someplace else in my head, LOL
ReplyDeleteI hope you meet all of your goals this month. Let me know if writing them down helps. I need some type of schedule/accountability for myself too.
Lol, yup! And it's fun to be somewhere else, except I really need to do some work!
DeleteWriting them down really has helped a lot. I am cracking on with that list now. :D
Best of luck with your goals. I'm a good cheerleader if you need one. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dana! I always need a cheerleader!
DeleteDaydreaming is part of the job! That's where the best story lines come from. :)
ReplyDeleteUnless you're daydreaming so often you stop writing completely ;)
DeleteIf you don't set goals, how will you know if you've accomplished anything? I think those are all doable.
ReplyDeleteLol, I didn't say I didn't set goals, I said I don't usually write them down ;)
DeleteNot scary - you can do it!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteFrom one daydreamer to another, you'll do great! *hugs*
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jackie! *hugs*
DeleteGood luck. I find that writing it down really helps me. Then I get to cross them out with a nice thick pen. So satisfying...
ReplyDeleteYes! This IS really satisfying!
DeleteGreat list. I like how specific it is. :) Good luck!
ReplyDeleteLol, I had to be specific to keep me in line! Thanks, Ilima!
DeleteGood luck with all of your goals! I know you can do it!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Meredith!
DeleteGood for you. You can do it!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Suzi!
DeleteI sometimes find writing myself goals helps to motivate me, especially if I've made my intentions public.
ReplyDeleteAnd you can't stop daydreaming - you're a writer!
Yup, it's worked for me, too!
DeleteHaha, I don't want to give up completely, but a little less would be good!
It's always good to be organized. ;0) I'm working on it.
ReplyDeleteYou can totally do it! I've been trying to do the same thing with my scheduled posts and it has helped a lot!
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm glad you've found a way to get more organised! :D
Deletelooks very similar to my list, in length anyway. you reminded me i need to write my cassie post!
ReplyDeleteand crossing those things off is an awesome feeling!
Yes, I am having much fun getting all those items ticked off!
DeleteThose are some great goals! I love making a list of goals for each month - it breaks it down and it's not so overwhelming for me. Hope it helps! Get to work girl! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's been a really great help! THings are definitely moving forward!
DeleteI agree with the others. Never stop daydreaming. ;)
ReplyDeleteI promise, I won't! Just need to limit the time spent on it lol!
DeleteI love setting goals! (I love hitting them too, though that is perhaps a rarer occurrence.) I like breaking them down into something quantifiable, preferably with a checklist so I can feel accomplished.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with yours!
Thanks, Tobi!
DeleteYou can do it! :D
ReplyDelete(More like... you've put this out there, now you HAVE to do it! LOL)
