If I Let You Go ARC Winners and a Meme

This week flew by!

I've been busy, busy, busy getting organised for all these book releases! I should have things under more control next week, but I also might take next week away from blogging to recharge again. After that, I will be back to normal again - or as normal as I ever get! :p

Thanks to all of you who have helped with the If I Let You Go cover reveal and signed up to the bloghop! Signups will be open until the bloghop starts so there's still time! Details are here.

In my last post I offered 5 ARCs to those of you who commented! I did a random draw, and the winners are:

Trisha
Jackie
Elizabeth
Christine
Tyson

I will be in touch very soon!

Now, I was also tagged by Trisha in the Lucky 7 Meme today! I have done it before, but with Game On. I was going to do with my novella but ... it doesn't have 77 pages! So, I will share a glimpse into Blindsided instead!

Here are the details:

The Rules:

  1. Go to page 77 of your current MS/WIP.
  2. Go to line 7.
  3. Copy down the next 7 lines – sentences or paragraphs – and post them as they’re written. No cheating.
  4. Tag 7 authors.
  5. Let them know.
Please note, this is quite close to the end of the story, and comes from Jesse Shaw's POV :)

“Okay,” I laughed. “What shall we do instead?”
“Well, I was thinking that, as Dad’s at work, Mum’s shopping again, Hunter’s out with Willow and Georgia is taking a nap, we should do something we’ve never done before.”
Her eyes sparkled playfully, and her lips curved into the kind of grin that made my heart hammer in my chest. For a second, I was transported back to Mischa’s party, when we danced together. That was the last time she’d looked at me that way.
“Oh really?” I asked. “What did you have in mind?”

I would usually tag, but a lot of people have done this already so, if you want to do it go ahead!

Have a wonderful weekend!

  15. Yay for the snippet :D I know what you mean about stuff that doesn't have 77 pages ;) I also found myself sometimes on ends of chapters that had less than 7 lines to choose from ;) So it took a while to find an appropriate snippet for my post.

So excited that I won the ARC, gonna read it ASAP!

It's here! WIP: The Movie!

I can't even tell you have excited I have been about this! It's early, so I have only got round to a few entries so far, but I am having a blast reading them all! Thanks to all who have participated, and of course, to my awesome co-host, Rachel ! It's time for me to introduce you to the characters from my - as yet untitled - WIP. When I first started this blog, my WIP was different, so this might confuse some of you (sorry about that!). This is Leah Walker, my MC. Technically, she is a little young, but she looks perfect! Leah is a physiotherapist for an American soccer team, but she is actually an English girl with a, let's say, colourful past. Radleigh McCoy is the ridiculously good-looking, not to mention exceptionally arrogant soccer player who challenges Leah in every way possible.  This is Freya Phillips. Freya is Leah's best friend and roommate. She works as a coach for the soccer team, and she is both very kind, and totally wild! Th...

IWSG: Books Sales

IWSG time! I'd like to start by thanking Alex J. Cavanaugh for this fab bloghop, and today in particular, it is just the motivation I need to get me blogging again! Today, I'm talking book sales. Now, I don't really know if there is any kind of "average" amount of books sales when you're an indie author. I don't know what is considered a good amount of book sales per month, or whether I am doing better or worse than others. What I do know, is that I am happy with the amount of books I've sold. I self-published because I want people to read my work - and people are reading it - yay! My concern is - what if the sales stop? I know after a time, everyone's book sales will slow down, but I have this fear that I'll check my sales every couple of weeks to find that nobody cares about reading my books anymore. The dreaded 0 will show on my Kindle sales, and I will plummet into a pit of despair. It hasn't happened yet, but Game On has onl...

Camp NaNo Update, and details

To begin with, I want to say thanks again to Emily for allowing me onto her blog as a blogging mentor! Being interviewed is always fun, and Emily is awesome! So, to Camp NaNo! Four days in and I'm still on track! Well, I will be when I finish today's writing. :D I mentioned a while ago that I was planning to battle boy POV, and I'm doing my best to get through it. However, it is hard, so I decided to turn my NaNo story into dual POV so it will be 50% less difficult! I'm not against cheating to get the work done. :p Just to give you a quick recap on what I'm doing for NaNo: In Game On, I have a young soccer player named Jesse Shaw, and he proved quite popular during the A-Z challenge. So, I decided he needed his own spin-off story! It's set at the end of the soccer season, when Jesse and his best friend go to London. I don't have a proper synopsis yet, but this is my guideline for now Soccer sensation Jesse Shaw literally has the world at his fee...
