I just have the one stop today, but it's a good one! Tiffany at Tiffany's Television Takedown is one of my best friends, and I met her through freelancing. Her blog is the home to her opinions on popular TV shows, but today she's letting me take over with a paperback giveaway of Blindsided! Go see her, and enter to win!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and thank you for sticking with me through the tour! Love ya!

Blindsided Blog Tour Day 4 - Excerpts and a Character Guest Post

Yup, the first week of the blog tour is almost over - how has that happened?! Time is flying by!

Today on the tour I will be over at the hilarious Elizabeth Seckman's blog with an excerpt from Blindsided.

And I'll also be with the wonderful Jenny Morris where you'll find a guest post from Isabelle's best friend, Willow.

Want to hear something amazing and awesome? My novella, If I Let You Go has been ducking in and out of the Top 20 bestsellers for short stories since the weekend! It peaked at number 15 yesterday, and is clinging on at number 19 at the time of me writing this!

I do intend to write another novella to follow it up, just because so many people wanted more from it. Not everyone realised it was a novella when they bought it, and it left some disappointed. So, I will be rectifying that by writing a bit more of Maddison, Dominic and Tilly's life - probably sooner rather than later. :D

Blindsided Blog Tour Day 3 - Christmas movies, Christmas Romance and a Christmas Photo

Good morning!

Thanks so much to everyone who is stopping by all the blog tour stops - it's much appreciated!!

Today I am with the always amazing, King of Ninjas, Alex J. Cavanaugh, talking about Christmas movie memories. I'd love to hear yours, so drop by and let me know!

I will also be with Christine Rains, who is one of my favourite people EVER, and a kickass writer too!  Over at Christine's place, I'll be talking about the romance of Christmas - yeah, a little sappy, but that's what I do! :p

Next, I promised a Christmas photo for the Blindsided Christmas Photo Hop

Sorry the photo quality is terrible and my eyes are closed, I was in a bit of a hurry!

See how easy it is? I have reindeer head boppers (which I bought on a whim while I was Christmas shopping because I'm dorky like that LOL!) and a silver tinsel scarf! That's it - that's all it needs. Just something festive and a bit silly. :D Come on guys ... you know you want to join in to win some awesome prizes! ;)

Right, now I am off to post some Christmas parcels to the U.S! Have a great day!

Blindsided Blog Tour Day 2 - Photos and Christmas Traditions

Hi everyone!

Thanks to all of you who stopped by yesterday, and visited Cassie and Leigh! Day 1 was definitely a success!

Today I am over with my bestie, Clare Dugmore! You guys met Isabelle yesterday, and today, she will be sharing some of her college work with you. Be kind to her, she's a little shy! ;)

And I'm also talking Christmas traditions with Jackie Felger at Bouquet of Books. Jackie might just be the sweetest person I've met in the blogosphere, and I always love chatting with her. If you're not following her, go do it now! :D

I know I promised to share my Christmas photo for the bloghop today, but yesterday kind of ran away from me, so it will be tomorrow!

Have a great day!

Blindsided Blog Tour Day 1 - Meet the MCs!

Happy Monday everyone! I'm here to kick off the Blindsided blog tour - and possibly one of the silliest blog tours you will ever see in your lives LOL!

We begin over at the gorgeous Cassie's Mae's place, with a deleted scene from the first chapter of the book which shows Jesse Shaw and his best friend on their way to London.

And later I'll be with the amazing and much missed Leigh Covington, where you can find an interview with the other MC of Blindsided, Isabelle Mills.

Blindsided Synopsis:
After a successful first soccer season in L.A, Jesse Shaw heads to London with his best buddy, Hunter, but his world is turned upside down when a dangerous prank threatens his career and his blossoming relationship with Hunter’s cousin, Isabelle.

Isabelle Mills lives in Notting Hill with her parents and her twin sister, Georgia. When she finds out her cousin is coming to stay, along with his famous soccer player friend, her first instinct is to hibernate until they’ve gone. However, once she meets Jesse, everything changes. He’s everything she ever wanted, but with so many obstacles in their path, can she really risk putting her heart on the line?

Author Bio:
Kyra Lennon was born on the South coast of England, and to this day, still lives by the sea. After years spent working in retail, where she met enough versatile characters to write hundreds of books, she finally took the plunge and quit her day job. Kyra's debut novel, Game On, was released in July 2012. While fiction writing has always been her passion, she also has numerous articles on a variety of topics published on prolific websites.

Is it that time already?

Good morning! Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! It was just your average Thursday over here in the UK, but I got a lot more work done because there were less people to distract me online lol! :p

I'm sure just a couple of days ago, it was November 1st and I was beginning my first real attempt at NaNo. Now it's November 23rd and the Blindsided blog tour starts Monday. MONDAY!!

Thank you to everyone who will be hosting me over the next couple of weeks! I am really, really looking forward to getting some festive blog posts out there. You should be warned - this tour is packed with Christmas silliness with the intention of getting everyone in the mood for the season. I did serious stuff last time, and I thought everyone could use something a bit more lighthearted at this time of year!

This brings me back to the pimping of my Blindsided Christmas photo contest. I knew there was a chance it might be ab epic fail - and as I have only 6 participants, and one of them is me, I might be fighting a losing battle. However, I'm gonna give promo another try!

Yes, that's right, peeps- I want to see your Christmas dress-up photos! Whether you're dressed up as Rudolph, or simply wearing a piece of tinsel as a scarf, I want to see YOU wearing something festive! The photo has to be either brand new, or from sometime over the last few years - childhood photos will not count! You can put in as much or as little effort as you wish - the only requirement is you have a bit of fun with it.

Here's what you have to do to join in:

Cover reveal and giveaway for Ocean Kills by Jade Hart and a Blindsided Free Promo

The lovely, talented Jade Hart is about to embark on her self-publishing journey, and I'm here today to help promote her novel Ocean Kills!
It's a Cover Blitz and Blog Giveaway!!!

OCEAN KILLS, the first book of the Ocean Breeze Series by Jade Hart, will be released in early December 2012. In order to celebrate, free copies of Ocean Kills are available to be won, either by simply liking Jade Hart on Facebook, or finding the words "Ocean Breeze" in either the current book you're reading, a TV show, or on any item such as air-freshener, shampoo, or body-wash! When you start looking, those words are everywhere!

For example, this was found a few days ago:
A bottle of body-wash
Without further ado, here is what OCEAN KILLS, a sexy New Adult Urban Fantasy, is all about:

Around the world, murderers and rapists pick off the innocent. Killing loved ones, separating families, and ruining lives.

As an eight-year-old girl, Ocean witnessed her family’s massacre and something altered inside her. Twisting her genetic code… unlocking an ability to teleport.

Ocean Breeze was never destined to be normal, especially being named after air-freshener. She’s a shadow, a ghost—a dark saviour of the innocent. Armed with a switchblade in her bra, and a box-cutter in her pocket, she hunts the filth of the world.

Callan Bliss is a Sydney Police Officer whose skill set is far above a normal cop. All his fellow officers see is a hard-worker who loves to catch perpetrators and surf, but that’s because they don’t know his past. When Callan arrests a suspicious looking prostitute, coming face to face with a self-confessed vigilante, his secrets aren’t that easy to keep silent anymore.

Ocean hates the police with a passion, and has no intention of being held captive by a cop, even if he is sexy as hell. Teleporting from under his nose, Ocean hunts her next target—a man responsible for the largest sex ring in South Africa—and he’s about to die. But she doesn’t count on Callan giving chase, nor the body-quaking lust which consumes them. However, Ocean's dark hobbies take precedence over what her heart wants—her thirst for murdering is killing her too, and not even Callan can save her.

A glimpse inside my NaNo novel!

So, since NaNo started, I haven't really said much about what I'm writing or kept you up to date on how it's going! Well, it all got off to a slow start, followed by a few days where I completely fell in love with the story and was writing at a fast pace. Now, I'm slowing down a little because I made the terrible mistake of looking at what I'd written. I know, I know, bad Kyra! What I have isn't awful, but it is NA that reads like YA. I'm pretty sire I can fix that, though so it's not a disaster.

The reason I haven't said a whole lot about the story itself is mainly because I'm not sure what the main plot point will be. I mentioned the MC is a virgin, but it's rather more complicated than that and I haven't figured out which thread of the plot I'm going to work with.

Oh dear, I'm getting as cryptic as Mark Koopmans and his mysterious bloghop! :p

Anyway, I was recently tagged (again) in the Look meme that was going around a while ago -  by the awesome L.G Keltner! To do this meme, you have to post the first "look" in your WIP, along with the surrounding sentence or paragraph. I figured I'd use it to let you have a look at my NaNo novel!

The ache in my chest seemed to multiply when I looked into his eyes, then exploded, threatening to pull me to the floor in a heap of guilt and self-loathing.
I couldn’t do that. Not in front of him. Maybe not ever. I made my choice, I had to live with it. With a deep sigh, I tore my eyes away from him and took my final steps out of the flat, and back towards the place where it all began. Yes. Twenty-five years old, and I was moving back home to my mother.

So, there you have it! I'm supposed to tag 5 people, but I'm not gonna because I'm not sure who has done this before. Feel free to join in if you want to, though!

The Truths About Dating and Mating by Jaycee DeLorenzo - Blog Tour

Okay - today I am so excited I could cry LOL! Jaycee DeLorenzo's Blog Tour is kicking off today, and I am thrilled to be the first stop! If you follow Jaycee's blog, no doubt you'll be familiar with her debut novel, The Truths About Dating and Mating - but if you want to know more - keep reading!

Here is Jaycee's guest post about what she is thankful for this year!

I have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving!
Hello!  Jaycee DeLorenzo, here, kicking off the first day of my blog tour.  The Truths about Dating and Mating, my debut novel, comes out the day before Thanksgiving, so I thought it was only right to start this all by listing some of the many things I’m thankful for:

1. I’m thankful to Kyra for hosting me today!  Kyra was one of the first bloggers I met after starting (or reviving) my blog.  I joined the WIP: The Movie blog hop – my first hop ever! – that she and Rachel Schieffelbein hosted, and I’ve met many awesome bloggers through that experience.  Plus, I won that contest, which was just the icing on the cake!  Since then, I’ve enjoyed reading Kyra’s posts and I’ve really loved her books. So, three cheers for Kyra!

2.  I’m thankful to everyone who signed up to host my virtual book tour. It always amazes me how supportive the blogging community can be and how wonderful writers can be about supporting other writers.  I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart.

3. I’m thankful for my family’s understanding this past year.  I’ve been really wrapped up in edits all year long, and I appreciate them allowing me the time to get lost in my Riordan College universe for hours on end.

4.  I’m thankful for my CP Victoria Smith, who has helped push me into writing better this last year, been there to chat, laugh with and rant to.  She’s co-hosted many a blog hops with me, helped start NA Alley, sends me great texts (21 fun!) and put my first chapter up in her book.  You rock, girl!

5.  I’m thankful for anyone who has read my blog, especially my posts on The Truths about Dating and Mating, and given me the confidence to get my writing out there.  :D  Every time I’m feeling down on myself and my writing, I go back and read the comments people have written about the samples I’ve posted, and it makes me feel better.

6.  I’m thankful for everyone who has complimented me on my graphic designs and helped me turn it into a thriving business!

7.  I’m thankful to my NA Alley sisters for coming together and helping spread the word about New Adult!  You all are a bunch of wonderful ladies and I’m proud to be a member of such a great group blog!

8.  And while this is little premature, I’m thankful to anyone who plans to read my book, sends me a comment, leaves a review, or even just stops by to read my interviews on my tour.

The Truths about Dating and Mating
Author:  Jaycee DeLorenzo
Release Date:  November 21, 2012
Spunky Italian coed Ivy Rossini likes to talk and push the boundaries. She gets to do both as she co-hosts Riordan College’s radio program, The Truths about Dating and Mating, alongside her lifelong best friend, Ian Hollister.

Being the only girl who cares to see beyond Ian’s bad boy reputation has its advantages, especially when he’s scaring off the jerks who just want to nail the campus sex-guru. It’s when he’s “protecting” her from the advances she welcomes that she wants to lob him over the head and tell him to butt out. But Ivy’s feels like she’s the one who’s taken a hit when Ian almost kisses her at a party. She knows she should feel relieved when he pulls away, so why is she disappointed instead?

What’s worse, Ivy’s now getting aroused by Ian’s slightest touch and can’t stop entertaining thoughts of a romantic future. But Ian doesn’t do relationships, and she’s not interested in anything casual. In the end, Ivy decides it’s best to keep her growing feelings a secret and hope they’ll pass. However, when Ian begins hinting at wanting to take things to the next level, she’s forced to decide if a chance at something more is worth risking everything they’ve built.

With their friendship and her heart hanging in the balance, can Ivy follow the advice she and Ian give their listeners - to communicate, be honest, and trust in themselves - or will insecurity, stubbornness, and pride ruin any chance of their relationship getting off the ground?

Cover Reveal: 1301 - The Marquis by Christine Rains, Plus A Quick Update

Today it is my absolute pleasure to be a part of Christine Rains' cover reveal for 1301 - The Marquis! I fell in love with Christine during the A-Z Challenge in April, and her two novellas are among my favourite books this year!

Title: 1301 – The Marquis
Author: Christine Rains
Genre: paranormal romance
Release date: December 13th, 2012 (tentatively)

Life after Hell isn't more exciting than watching football and fixing a busted pipe. Once a powerful demon, Marc enjoys his quiet existence and a good cup of coffee. With big ambitions to gain his master's favor, a trickster demon named Vetis shatters Marc's peace and vows to deliver Marc's head to the fires of Hell. Not before he destroys everything Marc cares about, of course.

Marc's power has diminished over the years. Heaven will never grant him absolution, and he refuses to return to Hell. Running isn't an option. The city of Carmine is his territory. It's also home to his favorite cafe owner, Mae Hopkins. The dame has a lovely smile, but it's her heart and soul that shine bright.

While his city burns and his love is captured, Marc must decide to surrender or let hate and anger fuel him to become the fearsome beast he so loathes: The Marquis. If the Marquis rises, Vetis can be defeated and Mae saved, but Marc would be lost to his demon forever.

Author Bio:
Christine Rains is a writer, blogger, and geek mom. She has four degrees which help nothing with motherhood, but make her a great Jeopardy player. She also has two novellas and sixteen short stories published.

I know it seems like all you're getting from me lately are "quick updates" - I'm so sorry about this! With NaNo and the blog tour coming at me really, really fast, my feet have barely touched the ground!

As many of you will have seen, Blindsided made an early appearance at the weekend, and I feel anxious. I didn't feel this nervous with If I Let You Go, but Blindsided? Second book in the series? My stomach is a big tangle of butterflies!

I am doing a free promo for Blindsided on Friday - so if you haven't got your copy yet - it will be free at the end of the week for one day only on Kindle. However, if you can't wait, you can find Buy links in the My Books tab at the top of the page. :D

I also want to do another plug for the Blindsided Christmas photo hop! I knew it was quite a risk doing a contest like this because I wasn't sure how many people would join in but I'm gonna stick with it for a bit longer! I'm gonna need for there to be at least ten entrants for this to be fun - but I do understand why some people may not be up for it! So, if you fancy a little festive silliness for some prizes - please follow the link and sign up!

That's all for now! Thanks for sticking with me! XX
