Game On Bloghop!

Good morning! It's time for the Game On Bloghop!

For those who have just found this, here are the details:

The Game On Series is centered around a soccer team in the U.S, and those of you who have already read the books will know the hottie of the series is Radleigh McCoy. Between October 28th and October 31st, I want to hear from you about your sporting crushes!

Does David Beckham do it for you? What about swimming sensations Michael Phelps or Rebecca Adlington? When did you first notice your sporting crush, and what do you like best about them? Have you ever been lucky enough to see them in action? Please keep posts to a maximum of 500 words (this is for the benefit of Clare Dugmore who offered me a 10-page essay! ;) LOL!).

Yes, of course there are prizes!

1) New paperback copies of Game On and Blindsided
2) E-copies of any of my books (3 winners)
3) A full manuscript edit (2 winners)

So, who is my sporting crush? Well, over the years there have been quite a few! The Olympics certainly brought some hotties to my attention! However, if I'm going to be perfectly honest, there is one man in sport who has had a strong grip on my heart for many years:
Yup. WWE's Randy Orton is the one for me! Seriously, look at those lips, those tattoos... *whimpers*. It is entirely Clare Dugmore's fault that I fell in love with him. Well, not exactly, but she - many years ago - reminded me how much I loved watching wrestling and Randy Orton was pretty much the first guy I saw, followed closely by Edge (who I also still love!). I've not yet been lucky enough to see Randy Orton wrestle, but one day, I am going to make it happen!!

You can join in with the bloghop anytime over the next few days - and I will be looking over all the entries at the end of the week! Come join the fun!

  1. You made your writing dreams come true. I have not doubt you'll make your wresting dreams come true, too.

  2. Excellent choice. I battled it for many years, but eventually succumbed to the power that is Randy Orton. Those tattoos are just too sexy to deny!

  3. Wonderful choice! Great pic.

  4. Mmm, tats. I'm not a big sports lover, but I did watch some hockey back in the day. I had a crush on Mats Sundin. (Young Mats with his pretty blond hair. He's shaved his head now which does nothing for me!)

    1. Lol, I've never watched hockey. I think it's because I hated playing it at school!

  5. Does he really count as an athlete? I think of those wrestlers more like actors. ;) Looks good, though!

    1. Wrestling, is in fact, a sport! :p And looking at him makes all the theatrics worthwhile! :D

  6. Oh yeah, he's a hottie.

I'm still in. I'm still doing research...have to give this topic much time and attention ;)

  7. Aww, man! I'm doing NaNo this month, or else I'd give it a go. If you're curious, this is who I would've chosen.

(I'm a diehard fan of this team, so I try not to mix lust with my support, but I would have his babies. LOL)

  8. First of all, Carrie Butler, he's cute!

And Kyra, I like his eyes! It feels like he's actually looking at me through the screen. Wow!

  9. Well, yeah. I can see it. Those tattoo's alone got my attention. Love a tatted up man.

  10. I think my sports crush is Peyton Manning - but not in a romantic way - I just think he's a talented, hard-working, and kind human being. A real live "good guy."

Thanks for commenting on Alex's blog during my cover reveal. I appreciate it! :-)

    1. No worries!

I think admiring his talent can count as a crush in this case. :D

It's here! WIP: The Movie!

I can't even tell you have excited I have been about this! It's early, so I have only got round to a few entries so far, but I am having a blast reading them all! Thanks to all who have participated, and of course, to my awesome co-host, Rachel ! It's time for me to introduce you to the characters from my - as yet untitled - WIP. When I first started this blog, my WIP was different, so this might confuse some of you (sorry about that!). This is Leah Walker, my MC. Technically, she is a little young, but she looks perfect! Leah is a physiotherapist for an American soccer team, but she is actually an English girl with a, let's say, colourful past. Radleigh McCoy is the ridiculously good-looking, not to mention exceptionally arrogant soccer player who challenges Leah in every way possible.  This is Freya Phillips. Freya is Leah's best friend and roommate. She works as a coach for the soccer team, and she is both very kind, and totally wild! Th...

IWSG: Books Sales

IWSG time! I'd like to start by thanking Alex J. Cavanaugh for this fab bloghop, and today in particular, it is just the motivation I need to get me blogging again! Today, I'm talking book sales. Now, I don't really know if there is any kind of "average" amount of books sales when you're an indie author. I don't know what is considered a good amount of book sales per month, or whether I am doing better or worse than others. What I do know, is that I am happy with the amount of books I've sold. I self-published because I want people to read my work - and people are reading it - yay! My concern is - what if the sales stop? I know after a time, everyone's book sales will slow down, but I have this fear that I'll check my sales every couple of weeks to find that nobody cares about reading my books anymore. The dreaded 0 will show on my Kindle sales, and I will plummet into a pit of despair. It hasn't happened yet, but Game On has onl...

Camp NaNo Update, and details

To begin with, I want to say thanks again to Emily for allowing me onto her blog as a blogging mentor! Being interviewed is always fun, and Emily is awesome! So, to Camp NaNo! Four days in and I'm still on track! Well, I will be when I finish today's writing. :D I mentioned a while ago that I was planning to battle boy POV, and I'm doing my best to get through it. However, it is hard, so I decided to turn my NaNo story into dual POV so it will be 50% less difficult! I'm not against cheating to get the work done. :p Just to give you a quick recap on what I'm doing for NaNo: In Game On, I have a young soccer player named Jesse Shaw, and he proved quite popular during the A-Z challenge. So, I decided he needed his own spin-off story! It's set at the end of the soccer season, when Jesse and his best friend go to London. I don't have a proper synopsis yet, but this is my guideline for now Soccer sensation Jesse Shaw literally has the world at his fee...
