Where Does Time Go??

I came back to blogging with the intention of writing at least one post a week. So far... that hasn't panned out and it's the 19th of Feb already. It feels like I just took my Christmas tree down a week ago - that's how fast the time is flying!

However, in my defence, I have been super busy with my writers' community! We re-opened our doors at the end of January, and it's been non-stop ever since. I've been a little swept up in how amazing the members are doing since joining. Some were with us at the very beginning last year, and some are brand new.

In that whole time, we've had authors jumping out of their comfort zone to join our live sprinting sessions and proving how many words they can get down if they stay focused. We've had people thriving after things they've learned in our masterclasses. Particularly popular was our Newsletter Success class which seemed to get everyone excited about newsletters again! But the thing I love the most is that authors who joined feeling low and undermotivated have got their mojo back after being inside such a warm, supportive community. It's just the most joyful thing to see writers lifting each other up!

In terms of writing, I have finally managed to get my own mojo back and I'm beginning to work hard on a single dad romance that has been a part of my life since I was fourteen. It never used to be a single dad romance. However, over the years, I stole aspects from the original story thinking it would never get published, so I've had to do a complete overhaul on it. I actually like the new version better. It's coming out with a humour I wasn't aware I possessed, but I'm having fun with writing again and that makes me happy!

  1. So glad to hear you're having fun! And, I've done that before - stolen parts of other stories, although occasionally it's been unintentional and I've regretted it.

    1. Yeah, I have done it with other stories and wished I hadn't! But this one... it's much better now. Or it will be when I finish with it lol!

    1. Yeah, it has amazed me for sure!

And thank you! Although, I think at this point, the authors are doing it more because of each other than me lol x

  3. Hi, Kyra! I'm visiting from the Insecure Writer's Support Group today. The title of your post is something I marvel at every day. The older I get, the faster time goes. Your writers' community sounds awesome. I hope it's continuing to flourish, and I hope you have managed to find some time to write!

GUTGAA Meet and Greet!

Oh, I have SO been looking forward to this!! But, before I start, I need to send a huge apology to Emily R.King and Melodie Wright. I signed up to their What I Did Last Summer Bloghop , but it looks like I'm not going to have the time to participate. :( I've never backed out of a bloghop before, but as you may have noticed, I've been kind of out of the blogging loop for a while and now I'm struggling to catch up! Please go and check out Emily and Melodie's hop, though - it's fun! :D NOW, onto GUTGAA! This amazing blogfest was put together by Deana Barnhart , and was designed to help writers in their quest to find an agent, plus help form connections between writers. The idea is genius and I am so excited to be a part of it! So, I am going to begin with the meet and greet questions, and I'll be hopping around to other blogs later! :D Bio : Kyra Lennon was born on the South coast of England, and to this day, still lives by the sea. It's here! WIP: The Movie!

I can't even tell you have excited I have been about this! It's early, so I have only got round to a few entries so far, but I am having a blast reading them all! Thanks to all who have participated, and of course, to my awesome co-host, Rachel ! It's time for me to introduce you to the characters from my - as yet untitled - WIP. When I first started this blog, my WIP was different, so this might confuse some of you (sorry about that!). This is Leah Walker, my MC. Technically, she is a little young, but she looks perfect! Leah is a physiotherapist for an American soccer team, but she is actually an English girl with a, let's say, colourful past. Radleigh McCoy is the ridiculously good-looking, not to mention exceptionally arrogant soccer player who challenges Leah in every way possible.  This is Freya Phillips. Freya is Leah's best friend and roommate. She works as a coach for the soccer team, and she is both very kind, and totally wild! Th...
