WIP: The Movie Bloghop!

It's here!! Yay! Almost all of us have imagined who would play the characters in our WIPs if they were ever made into a movie. On February 28th, we want you to “cast” your WIP, and post photos of the actors/actresses you would choose to play the characters in your latest manuscript. You don’t have to cast everyone if you don’t want to, just show us your MCs and tell us a little about them.  Also, we’d like you to tell us which songs you’d have on your WIP Movie soundtrack! This can be one song that fits the main theme of the story, or several songs that make you think of your story. Rachel and I will each pick a winner at random, and we’re giving away one of our favourite books which were turned into movies!  Rachel’s prizes : The Book Thief by Markus Zusak + Choose one of Rachel’s ebooks. My prizes: The Perks Of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky + Choose one of my ebooks OR an ARC of Game On Book 3. Okay, so for my WIP: The Movie entry, I'm using - na

Branding, Writing, and other Busy Stuff

Time is escaping me. This could very easily be a post about the dangers of time-wasting, but I'd like to stay positive today because Game On 3 is coming along nicely now, and I don't want to jinx it by focusing on anything even slightly negative. (Needless to say, much time-wasting happened, but I'm done with that now!) I have decided on a release date for the next GO book, and it is quickly approaching. Over the weekend, out of nowhere, I got a surge of motivation to get organised, and part of that organisation involved re-branding my teasers for Game On. You see, everyone else's teaser pictures match. They have the same fonts, and the same style so you can see it and instantly think, "Oh, that's one of (insert author's) teasers!" I wanted that. So, I bring you a couple of examples of my improved teaser pics. Okay, I do realise the third one is a little different, but by "matching" I mean, the title and author parts look the same

The Bloody Valentine Bloghop!

Happy Anti-Valentine's Day, friends! A.F. Stewart is hosting the Bloody Valentine Bloghop today, and I am venturing over to the dark side! This is what A.F. Stewart had to say about it: On  February 14th,   I'll be hosting a darkly delightful, blood dripping, Valentine's Day blog hop where it's down with the idea of candy and flowers. For one day writers and bloggers will dispense with the sappy romance, and show you the bad side of love.  We will be celebrating heartbreak, love gone wrong, romantic mayhem and tragedy, hopefully with that little splash of humour and blood.  On the Bloody Valentine Blog Hop you will find out what happens when the rose petals die, the candy melts, and lovers are looking for payback. Bwahahaha!  Okay,  all of you who know me will know that this is NOT what I'm all about. I don't really do the dark side, I do fluffy and sweet. But you know what, love is never just about that. Sometimes, it's downright ug

Moonless Blog Hop!

In the English society of 1768 where women are bred to marry, unattractive Alexia, just sixteen, believes she will end up alone. But on the county doorstep of a neighbor’s estate, she meets a man straight out of her nightmares, one whose blue eyes threaten to consume her whole world—especially later when she discovers him standing over her murdered host in the middle of the night. Her nightmares become reality: a dead baron, red-eyed wraiths, and forbidden love with a man hunted by these creatures. After an attack close to home, Alexia realizes she cannot keep one foot in her old life and one in this new world. To protect her family she must either be sold into a loveless marriage, or escape with her beloved and risk becoming one of the Soulless.   This is the blurb for Crystal Collier's Moonless - doesn't it sound amazing?!    Today, to celebrate the paperback release of Moonless, Crystal is hosting a bloghop ! Here are the deets:   If you

Finding My Groove

You may have noticed that I broke my blog schedule by not posting on Friday - BUT it was for a very good reason. I was writing!! Yes, actually writing. Not just sitting down with the intention to write, then faffing around on Facebook. I wrote words! This is a really good thing, and not just for the obvious reasons. I have had the hardest time trying to get back into writing Game On 3, so the breakthrough on Friday means I can go back at it today knowing it's not going to take me hours to settle into it. In fact, I am all ready to rock, and since my workload this week is so far non-existent, I'm hoping to crack on with it and MAYBE get it finished by the end of the week! I know this post is short and to the point, but I can't wait to get back to it! Before I go - here's a small snippet of Bree's story! After hanging out with the girls, I’d intended to spend a little time with Leah after Freya had gone back to work, but instead I made up a stupid exc
