The Ghost Blog Tour by Christine Rains - Guest Post

Can you believe Christine Rains has reached the final book in the 13th Floor series?! Seems like just yesterday the first one was released! I'd like to congratulate Christine on an amazing series, and wish her the best of luck with the last book! Now - over to Christine!

CHIHARO ; JEREMY

Chiharo Black is a sweet and timid science girl. She's also been dead for thirty years. It's not easy being a ghost. There's no one to talk to except people's pets, and the animals aren't very welcoming. Chiharo can't leave the building, and so she's had a lot of time to get to know the tenants within. Being of a scientific mind, she's also learned a lot of what it means to be a ghost. When another phantom enters her building, she torn about what she should do. It's nice to have someone to talk to again, but he might cause trouble for one of her favorite tenants.

Jeremy Emerson is a ghost on a mission. He knows who murdered him, and he believes the only way he can carry on to his afterlife is to return the favor. His problem is that he's not a very powerful spook. When Jeremy meets Chiharo, he thinks he can convince her to help him on his quest. He tries pleading with her and uses his charm, but she's a tough one to win over. Yet Jeremy has all the time in the world to get her to see things his way.

Chiharo and Jeremy come from opposite ends of the cemetery. She's the good girl with a keen mind, and he's the bad boy with a mouth that could make even the saltiest of sailors blush. Yet even with their differences, they must work together to save the lives of the people in the building from a fiend that's draining the life force from its victims. It may not be a romantic first date fighting for your souls, but there's something to be said for getting to know someone by touching their pure essence.

This final romance of the 13th Floor series is a sweet one. Chiharo had only been on one date before she died. She knows a lot about the elements and biochemistry, but very little about dealing with guys. Jeremy had a lot more experience, but never fell in love. When emotions bloom between the two of them, he's as new to the feelings as she is.

Title: The Ghost (The 13th Floor series, #6)
Author: Christine Rains
Genre: paranormal romance
Release date: July 13th, 2013

Blurb:
Chiharo Black lives with six supernatural tenants in a haunted building's mysterious thirteenth floor. Of course, no one knows she's there except the cats. Being a ghost can be a bit frustrating and lonely, but it isn't as bad as her mother made it out to be.

Until another ghost intrudes on her territory. Jeremy Emerson wants revenge on the vampire that killed him and won't stop until he has it. To top it off, a nightmarish shade sneaks in and leeches the energy from the building's residents before setting its sights on Chiharo and the thirteenth floor. She can't decide which one is more frightening: the one wanting to eat her soul or the one who might win her heart.

Chiharo must convince Jeremy to stand with her against the hellish parasite. If they cannot work together, the greedy fiend will not only drain their energy but everything that supports the thirteenth floor's existence.

IWSG: Performance anxiety

Welcome to the August edition of IWSG, hosted by the amazing Alex J.Cavanaugh ! So, as most of you know by now - because I haven't shut up about it LOL - my first novel, Game On, has been released. The blog tour officially starts next week (YAY!) but I find myself becoming increasingly nervous. A blog tour not only highlights my book, but me. What if people don't like me? What if my guest posts suck, and everyone thinks I'm boring? If I can't engage people in 300 words on a blog, they probably aren't going to pick up my book. And then there's the "what happens next" question. I plan to make Game On into a series, which feels a bit arrogant of me. I don't know how many people are going to like the first book, should I really be planning to keep the series going? So far, Game On has actually been incredibly well received. I've had great reviews, so maybe I shouldn't worry about people not liking it, but what if Book Two isn't as goo

Dust It Off Bloghop!

Welcome to day one of the Dust It Off Bloghop, hosted by Theresa Paolo and Cortney Pearson ! This hop is all about the WIPs you wrote, and then shelved! Okay, so I am teaming up with Clare Dugmore for this one, because back in 2006 - yup, we've known each other THAT long lol! - we started to write a book together. Unfortunately, other commitments got in the way and we never finished it - but even so many years on - it's still something we remember fondly, so we're going to dust it off for you! The first day, May 3rd: We want you to post a 1-2 sentence pitch (Great way to practice pitches) about the shelved WIP. Here is the pitch Clare and I came up with: For best friends Caitlin and Tori, their first acting job out of Uni opens up a whole new world for them – unfortunately, it wasn’t the world they were expecting. When the strains of adult life and tangled relationships threaten to ruin their friendship, they are forced to take a look at what’s really importan
