Game On Blog Tour Day 8 - Post Olympics Crash

Good morning! :D

I am supposed to be feeling refreshed after a weekend of relaxation but ... not so much. Anyone else got an Olympics hangover today? I stayed up entirely too late watching the closing ceremony - and now I'm a little bit sleepy, and wondering what to watch on TV now all the sports are over!

No time to be too sleepy though, there are three stops on the blog tour today!

Emily R. King - one of the sweetest bloggers in blogland  - will be holding a Game On giveaway, so make sure you stop by and check it out!

I visit writer of Provex City, Michael Pierce, to talk about turning Game On into a series - and give you a small glimpse into some of my plans for future books.

And the lovely Aubrie Dionne will be giving a Game On shoutout!

Thanks to you all for having me!

Now, I'm off to work on a brand new story idea that came to me in a dream! Not sure if I can really do that much with it, but it's nagging away at my brain, so I have to give it a try!

Hope you all have a lovely day!

  1. I'm completely lost regarding TV viewing - although #2 son is watching Lord of the Rings, so I won't have to decide for about 9 hours!

Love the spontaneous ideas - hope it works out!

  2. WOOT! I can't believe I've missed 8 days of this. I'm a terrible bloggy friend. I blame my brain-deadness from my offline life ;)

  10. I stayed up waaaaaayyy too late (even let the wee one stay up too). Now, I have to read a bunch of really boring academic papers... ::wishes for olympics to still be on::

  11. Dreams are where all of my fiction ideas came from.

I enjoyed the ending ceremony. England did a great job with the Olympics.

  12. Ooh! YAY!
I'm not feeling relaxed after the weekend either, although it has less to do with the Olympics and more to do with a sick husband. Guys are such wimps when they're sick. It's horrible!

Can't wait to check out what everyone has in store for your tour today! :)

  13. Hope you catch up on your sleep and great way to start off the week! :)

  14. I am missing the olympics! Didn't meant to watch the entire thing last night but it kept getting weirder and weirder and I couldn't look away!

  15. I love the urgency of a new idea.

I hope you get some rest.

  16. *group hugs* I know this is not the ideal way to reply to comments, but I am drowning in real life stuff at the moment, and battling sleep deprivation! Thanks all for your comments - love ya!

IWSG: Performance anxiety

Welcome to the August edition of IWSG, hosted by the amazing Alex J.Cavanaugh ! So, as most of you know by now - because I haven't shut up about it LOL - my first novel, Game On, has been released. The blog tour officially starts next week (YAY!) but I find myself becoming increasingly nervous. A blog tour not only highlights my book, but me. What if people don't like me? What if my guest posts suck, and everyone thinks I'm boring? If I can't engage people in 300 words on a blog, they probably aren't going to pick up my book. And then there's the "what happens next" question. I plan to make Game On into a series, which feels a bit arrogant of me. I don't know how many people are going to like the first book, should I really be planning to keep the series going? So far, Game On has actually been incredibly well received. I've had great reviews, so maybe I shouldn't worry about people not liking it, but what if Book Two isn't as goo

Dust It Off Bloghop!

Welcome to day one of the Dust It Off Bloghop, hosted by Theresa Paolo and Cortney Pearson ! This hop is all about the WIPs you wrote, and then shelved! Okay, so I am teaming up with Clare Dugmore for this one, because back in 2006 - yup, we've known each other THAT long lol! - we started to write a book together. Unfortunately, other commitments got in the way and we never finished it - but even so many years on - it's still something we remember fondly, so we're going to dust it off for you! The first day, May 3rd: We want you to post a 1-2 sentence pitch (Great way to practice pitches) about the shelved WIP. Here is the pitch Clare and I came up with: For best friends Caitlin and Tori, their first acting job out of Uni opens up a whole new world for them – unfortunately, it wasn’t the world they were expecting. When the strains of adult life and tangled relationships threaten to ruin their friendship, they are forced to take a look at what’s really importan
